Out of the Shadows
3-4 month project consisting of a team of 7 people.
A co-operative puzzle adventure both players will need to learn and work together solving various puzzles using the theme of ‘Light’ and ‘Shadow’ as our core mechanics.
Two players control opposite beings; Dark and Light. Dark can only travel through shadows, whilst Light can only move in lit areas. Both players are trapped in a small environment with the objective being the same for both players; clearing a pathway, solving puzzles and entering their relative portal. Light must avoid walking into shadows, while dark must avoid entering illuminated areas.

Gameplay Design
With the game being heavily focused on visuals, the overall gameplay will be basic yet intuitive whilst still playing with the theme of Light and Dark using simple conventional mechanics such as levers and buttons to create unique dynamics such as casting shadows and rotating light sources.
Level Design
All levels will contain a unique puzzle depending on the environment, keeping it new and interesting as well as intuitive puzzle within each environment, keeping it simple and engaging for the players.
UX Design
Responsible for making the game experience feel smooth in terms of in-game navigation. Making sure any misplaced colliders, bugs with the mechanic, and visual clarity are fixed through extensive testing and observation/feedback from play testers.
